Campground Name: PEGASUS FARM CAMPGROUND
Category: RV Destinations
Highlights: The Pegasus Farm Campground is a unique camping area in north central West Virginia. Can handle the longest RVs. Deep sites, all with 50AMP and free wireless broadband. Completely surrounded by national forest lands and outdoor recreation galore, the Pegasus Farm setting is ideal. Although just five minutes from the town of Elkins (and every convenience you would want), the Farm offers solitude during the day and quiet, star-lit nights.

It is located in the center of the Tygart Valley — to the west is the highest mountain chain east of the Rockies (the Laurel and Rich Mountains, both over 4,000 feet high); to the east, rolling hills that lead into town, and eventually to another mountain chain, again over 4,000 feet in elevation. From the center of the campground, you can see the mountains all around you! The southern and northern boundaries are marked with a quiet, clear-water run and the deep waters of Chenoweth Creek, a very large creek that empties into the Tygart River. On the other side of these waterways are hundreds of acres of pastureland and cornfields.

NEW THIS YEAR
The Pegasus Farm will offer a fully developed campground this year, complete with bathhouse, developed campsites with water and 50 amp electric hookup, and a few pull thrus for larger RVs. Rustic camping is still available in the area we call "the lower 20". It's the land across the abandoned railroad tracks that offers lots of space to camp and roam, a new fishing pond, forest land and river access.
